Orsha summed up the results of the work of student teams of the Vitebsk region in the labor semester — 2019
— Student teams today are one of the main and most promising areas for implementing the state youth policy of Belarus, — noted Vladimir Babichev, Second Secretary of the Vitebsk Regional Committee of the Belarusian Youth Union (BRSM). — By organizing useful summer leisure activities for young people, many tasks are being addressed aimed at labor and patriotic education, and assisting enterprises in staffing.
In 2019, 258 student teams were formed in the region. The guys worked both in Belarus and in the Russian Federation, and the Republic of Moldova. Vitebsk region is an undisputed long-term leader in the country for summer youth employment. It is no coincidence that Nadezhda Shakhovskaya, commander of the Republican Headquarters of Student Teams of BRSM, called it the region where the soul of the country's student team movement has been preserved and lives. This year was no exception. The Vitebsk region has two traveling banners at once. The student team "Eureka" of Polotsk State University was recognized as the best of the best in the country, and the Polotsk branch "Vesna-energo" of RUP "Vitebskenergo" received the title of "Best Employer".
Year after year, student teams instill in young people an interest in work, form moral values and civic positions, emphasized Gennady Egorov, head of the main department of ideological work and youth affairs of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, during the celebration.
— Thanks to working in a student team, you are given a unique opportunity to gain valuable professional experience and apply your knowledge in practice, — he addressed the participants of the meeting. — Teams also develop skills for interacting within a work collective with friends and colleagues.
A total of about 5,000 people worked in student teams in the Vitebsk region this year.
— At the All-Belarusian Youth Construction Project in Ostrovets, the detachments "Eureka", "Architects" and "Rhythm" of Polotsk State University distinguished themselves, — stated Gennady Egorov. — For the second year in a row, our student agricultural detachments worked in the Republic of Moldova. Regional headquarters overseeing the activities of student detachments have also proven themselves well. The regional leadership pays great attention to the employment and job placement of youth. We will continue to strive for effectiveness and efficiency in this work.
