A man died in Orsha while trying to dismantle a shed, the press secretary of the Vitebsk Regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Marina Fando, told a BELTA correspondent. The day before, Orsha city department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations received a report about the collapse of the ceiling in a non-residential, single-story cinder block shed. Rescuers who arrived at the scene found a man born in 1982 trapped under the debris. The victim was freed using special equipment, but it was not possible to save him. As Marina Fando noted, the building, located on the territory of a private household, belonged to a 76-year-old pensioner. The elderly wife of the owner decided to dismantle the unnecessary structure and hired an unemployed young man for this purpose. The latter's lack of proper qualifications and experience led to such a tragic outcome. -0-
