Competitions of Belarusian and Russian motorcycle racers were held in Orsha
Rain, which accompanied the athletes for two days of competition, turned most of the race track into a solid clay mess. To reach the finish line, the athletes had to show all their skill, abilities, and perseverance. The intensity of the competition was off the charts – the best motocross riders from two friendly countries competed. On the first day – riders in the 50 cc, 65 cc, "EMX 250", and "National" classes. On the second day – in the 85 cc, "EMX 125", Open, and "Sidecar Motorcycle" classes.
Numerous spectators were able to witness a spectacular show. Athletes overcame difficult jumps on a high-speed track with steep turns, sharp ascents, and descents – on loose sand and loamy cross tracks.
By the way, Orsha is not by chance recognized as a center for technical sports. As Snezhaна Bryuzgina, head of the sports and tourism department of the Orsha District Executive Committee, said, qualifying, republican, and international competitions in car and motorcycle racing, karting, and modeling have been held here for half a century. A whole galaxy of famous athletes, world, European, and national champions has been raised in the Orsha region.
Overall management of the competition organization was carried out by DOSAAF and the public association "Belarusian Association of Motorcycle Sports". Direct preparation and conduct were carried out by the specialized children's and youth sports and technical school of motorsport DOSAAF and the Orsha District Executive Committee.
