A house for medical workers has been commissioned in Orsha

40 families of medical workers received the keys to brand-new apartments in a comfortable five-story building located in the green outskirts of Orsha. The housing is rental, so the current housewarming will not prevent doctors and nurses from building their own in the future.

The Chairman of the Orsha District Executive Committee, Igor Isachenko, emphasized:

— Of course, this house did not cover the entire demand — there are still those in the healthcare sector who need to improve their housing conditions. Therefore, we will continue to build housing for medical workers. Andreevshchina, where this five-story building was constructed, is a very promising microdistrict. Several new houses have already been commissioned here, and soon we will lay the foundations for three more. A school and a kindergarten are within walking distance, and transport links are well developed. Along with the expansion of the new microdistrict's boundaries, we will also develop other infrastructure. In the coming years, Orsha faces significant tasks in economic development. We are interested in retaining young, proactive specialists in the region who come to work in the real sector of the economy and the social sphere. Housing is one of the top priorities in achieving this goal.

The Chief Physician of the Orsha Central Polyclinic, Alexey Korotky, provides figures:

— If last year more than 20 young specialists came to work with us, this year we expect 55 people after their internship. The network of medical institutions is developing, we are actively mastering new diagnostic methods and treatment technologies, and expanding the range of medical services provided. Prosthetics of large joints have already been streamlined, we perform high-tech operations on blood vessels, lens replacement, and others. This means we need highly qualified specialists who will not just work in Orsha for the required period, but will stay here forever. Therefore, we are considering building another rental house for medical workers.

Yury Derkach, Head of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee's Healthcare Department, emphasizes that this trend is observed not only in Orsha but throughout the region. In the last year alone, healthcare facility employees received about 200 rental apartments, family dormitories are being built and reconstructed at an accelerated pace in the regions, and all conditions are being created for young specialists for fruitful work, professional development, and comfortable living.

…The ceremonial handover of keys with keychains right at the entrances, happy faces, children's laughter – the five-story building in Andreevshchina, which was only recently vacated by construction workers, has already come to life. The apartments are cozy, and everything is ready for occupancy. It is noteworthy that among the new residents, there are many young families, which means that the demographic situation in the region will also change for the better.
