In Orsha, three renovated facilities were opened in the pedagogical college dormitory
It is no coincidence that the festive concert preceding the opening of socially important facilities was titled "Healthy Lifestyle is Stylish." After all, sports, nutrition, and medicine are guardians of health. This was emphasized by the college director Anatoly Zulyov.
– The opening of the facilities is an important step in strengthening the image of the college and the district, – he said. – This would have been impossible without the help of the Ministry of Education of Belarus, VSU named after P. M. Masherov, and the Orsha District Executive Committee, as well as without the participation of teachers and students of our college in the renovation work. 40% of all the work done is their labor.
In turn, Valentina Bogatyreva added that last year Orsha College allocated 230 thousand rubles to strengthen its material and technical base.
– At the same time, by doing a lot of work ourselves, we were able to save a considerable amount of funds, – the rector emphasized. – This indicates that there is a strong, cohesive team of like-minded people here.
Addressing the students, she added: "Be proud of all the new and good things you see in your college, district, and country. When I lecture students on macroeconomics and geopolitics, I always ask them to consider free healthcare, schooling, etc., as part of their expenses. We have become so accustomed to this that we sometimes don't even notice it and take it for granted. But we need to appreciate and cherish it."
Viktor Kolochov, Deputy Chairman of the Orsha District Executive Committee, congratulated the college on this significant event. He spoke about the close attention paid to sports and health in the district and outlined the facilities commissioned last year and currently under construction.
After the award ceremony for those who took the most active part in the renovation of the facilities, as well as those who achieved significant success in sports, the ribbon was solemnly cut.
A new buffet, which students could only dream of before, consists of two tastefully decorated rooms where you can not only enjoy pastries and coffee, but also get a full hot meal.
The sports and gymnastics hall, which has undergone major repairs, features new walls, floor, ceiling, and equipment. In honor of the opening, demonstration performances by college athletes were held here.
As for the medical center, quality medical care will now be provided in completely new conditions. After the renovation, new furniture was installed here, and the necessary modern equipment was purchased.
Now, all conditions for a comfortable life of students have been created in the VSU college dormitory.
