A four-year-old child was rescued in Polotsk

Last Friday, employees of the Polotsk District Department for Emergency Situations rescued a four-year-old child. If not for the timely call from an eyewitness and the prompt response of the Ministry of Emergency Situations workers, the boy could have fallen from the fifth floor of a building on Kotovskogo Street. At the time of the rescuers' arrival, he was standing on the windowsill and playing with the window sash. The commander of the PASC-1 Polotsk unit, Vitaly Yefishenko, entered the apartment via a fire truck ladder and removed the boy from the window. The child was at home alone. His mother will be brought to administrative responsibility for leaving a minor in danger.
