A ceremony of initiation into the 'young friends of border guards' was held at Polotsk school

On the eve of the Defender of the Fatherland and Armed Forces Day of the Republic of Belarus, a significant event took place at the Educational Institution "Secondary School No. 15 of Polotsk". A ceremony of initiation into "young friends of border guards" was held with the 10th-grade students. The command of the Polotsk Border Detachment carries out extensive work in educating the younger generation.

The organizers of this event were the command of the Polotsk Border Detachment and the administration of the Educational Institution "Secondary School No. 15 of Polotsk". In a solemn atmosphere, 11 students took an oath and received certificates as "young friends of border guards".

In the future, the Polotsk Border Detachment undertakes to conduct classes on patriotic education, familiarization with border traditions, and the organization of joint events, both at the border detachment's base and at the school itself.

It is planned to visit units directly guarding the State Border and to hold classes with veterans of border troops.

In the long term, the issue of granting this class the status of "military-patriotic" will be addressed.

After the solemn event, friendly sports competitions were held in the school's sports hall. In a tense struggle, the conscript servicemen of the Polotsk Border Detachment won with a score of 26:24.

Back in 2013, an agreement on cooperation was concluded between the school, the Polotsk Border Detachment, the Educational Institution "Institute of the Border Service", the Department of Education, Sports and Tourism of the Polotsk District Executive Committee, and the Polotsk United City Military Commissariat.

This agreement aims to improve the educational process of students attending classes with a military-patriotic focus.

In the future, schoolchildren will participate in various events at the Institute and attend "Open Days". It is possible that many of them will subsequently wish to link their future with the border service and, upon graduation from school, will enroll in the Institute of the Border Service.
