В Полоцком районе 27 июля выберут молочного короля

"Milk Rivers" festival will take place on July 27 in Polotsk district, a BELTA correspondent was informed at the Polotsk District Executive Committee.

The traditional festival will be held in the agro-town of Goryany. The venue was not chosen by chance: the KHP "Goryany-agro" located here has taken 1st place in the regional competition among dairy farms for the fourth time and is one of the best farms in the Polotsk district.

The rich program includes various contests. For example, participants will have to drink milk at speed, determine its fat content, and guess the names of dairy products provided by the Polotsk Dairy Plant by taste. The official part will be the ceremony of awarding the honorary title "Milk King" to the head of the best agricultural enterprise in the district.

There will also be a seminar for the best milking machine operators, excursions for students to the "Goryany-agro" agricultural enterprise, a children's festival "Drink milk, children, and you will be healthy!", the agro-town festival "The Best Place in the World", and a theatrical performance "Milk Expanse". Everyone will be able to visit the milk workshop, which will host master classes on making crafts from packaging, an exhibition-sale of dairy products, a fair-tasting of dairy products made by the housewives of Goryansky village council and Polotsk district, as well as show their prowess in strength contests.

The holding of the milk festival is part of the development strategy of the Polotsk district, aimed at popularizing the profession of livestock breeders and milking machine operators, familiarizing livestock breeders of the district with advanced work experience, and organizing leisure activities for the residents of the agro-town.

The district executive committee also noted the success of the blueberry festival held in the district on July 20. Its participants, about 500 people, collected a total of 1.1 tons of berries.
