The most accurate hunter with a hunting rifle will be determined in the Polotsk district

Currently, hunting and shooting sports have truly become important elements in strengthening the health of the Belarusian population. Today, there are already 870 hunters in the Polotsk district who are members of the Polotsk district organization of the Public Association "Belarusian Society of Hunters and Fishermen".

As we know, a true hunter must shoot accurately, and accuracy comes with experience through persistent training. The day off will determine how they went for the hunters of the Polotsk district.

On February 22, 2014, at 10:00 AM, the open championship "Polotsk Shooter" for shooting from hunting rifles will be held at the shooting range of the Polotsk Border Detachment base in the village of Farinovo, Polotsk district.

Team registration will take place until 10:00 AM, and participant and shooting registration will be from 10:00 AM.

Teams of 3 people, who legally own their own hunting weapons, will take part in the championship.

According to the championship conditions, shooting at "running wild boar" and "standing roe deer" targets at a distance of 35 meters from the shooters will be carried out with a bullet from a smooth-bore hunting weapon (a shotgun adapted for shooting shot at close range, no more than 50 meters).

A shooter's place in the individual competition will be determined by the sum of points awarded in two exercises for these targets, with 3 shots to be taken for each.

The competition is held in individual and team categories. The winning team's place in the competition will be determined by the sum of the results of the three shooters. All participants must observe safety regulations when handling weapons.

Participants who take 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places in the individual and team categories will be awarded diplomas from the Polotsk district organization of the Public Association "Belarusian Society of Hunters and Fishermen".

Mobile trade will be organized for participants and guests of the "Polotsk Shooter" championship.

The organizers of the hunting championship are the Polotsk District Executive Committee, the Polotsk District organization of the Public Association "Belarusian Society of Hunters and Fishermen", and military unit No. 2034 of the Polotsk Border Detachment.

As noted by the organizers of the "Polotsk Shooter" championship, such events are primarily aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle and active forms of recreation, preserving national hunting traditions, and fostering an ecological attitude of care for the environment.
