In the Polotsk district, a blueberry king and queen were chosen

More than 120 teams of 4 people each expressed their desire to participate in the berry championship, which is held for the fourth time. They picked blueberries in the territories of Polotsk, Azinsky, Voronichsky, Vetrinsky, Gomel, and Malosityanovsky village councils. The grand awards ceremony took place in Polotsk on F. Skorina Square.

According to Valentina Vlasenko, chief specialist of the department of ideological work, culture, and youth affairs of the district executive committee, the leaders in blueberry picking also took part in the competition program "Berry Again", where they had to present an outfit in accordance with the theme of the ecofest, creatively defend it, pass the blitz tournament challenge, and surprise the jury with an improvisation. In addition, the winning teams tried their hand at the photo contest "Berry Beauty-2014".

In addition, as part of the championship, an official ceremony was held to award the honorary titles of

"Blueberry King" and "Blueberry Queen" with the presentation of special certificates.
