A swimming pool for preschoolers has opened in Postavy
For almost two decades, the special "water" room at kindergarten No. 1 in the district center has not been used for its intended purpose. In the early 90s, the children's pool fell into disrepair, but it was not possible to allocate funds for its reconstruction at that time. It was not easy to restore the facility in our time either, but thanks to the initiative of the head of the district, Viktor Gutorov, and the support of the head of the financial department of the Postavy District Executive Committee, Lyudmila Shetko, it was possible to find the necessary amount from the district budget – 557 million rubles.
The question of where the future pool would be located was not even raised: in the largest kindergarten No. 1, designed for 270 children. As Alexander Kashirin, head of the education department of the district executive committee, said, the heating and wiring systems have been completely replaced here, the premises have been renovated, and modern equipment with an autonomous preparation system and a 4-level water purification system has been installed. Currently, a physical education instructor is being selected who will teach children to swim.
The pool, three by five meters, unfortunately, will not be able to accommodate more than 5 toddlers at the same time. Nevertheless, even infrequent visits will certainly have a positive impact on the children's health and will not affect parents' wallets – the fee for kindergarten will remain unchanged.
At the same time, thanks to the commissioning of the pool, this institution will be able to expand its list of paid services. According to preliminary data, already in February, on weekends, other preschoolers will be able to bring their children here. A coach will work with the child. It is difficult to say how much one visit will cost. But, as promised in the district executive committee, the fee will be moderate.
