An international group was detained in the Postavy district on the section of the border outpost
On August 26, 2015, at the section of the Lyntupy border outpost, Postavy district, near the settlement of Raduta, 8 km from the state border, a border patrol checking documents stopped a Nissan-Centra passenger car. The car carried 2 citizens of the Russian Federation (of Chechen nationality), 1 citizen of Azerbaijan, and 4 citizens of Vietnam, all with identity documents.
These citizens have been registered as violators of the border regime under Article 23.30 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Belarus. They have been taken to the temporary detention facility of the Smorgon Border Group. Their involvement in an attempt to violate the State Border is being investigated. They will be brought to administrative responsibility in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Belarus.
I remind you that intentional illegal crossing of the State Border of the Republic of Belarus, if such an act does not entail criminal liability, as well as an attempt at such crossing, entails a warning with deportation or a fine ranging from ten to one hundred base units with or without deportation.
