On the eve of the 44th Congress of the BRSM, the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Nikolai Sherstnev, met with delegates from the region
On the eve of the 44th Congress of BRSM, a meeting was held between the Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, Nikolai Sherstnev, and the delegates of the youth forum.
Nikolai Nikolaevich noted that the honorable mission to represent the Vitebsk region at the congress was entrusted to 50 delegates.
– You yourselves, perhaps, underestimate the role of youth in the development of the nation, – emphasized the governor. – Youth is an a priori leader. Even if it seems to you from the outside that your proposals are not heard, that you are not noticed, this is not the case. All proposals are a spur to action. We always try to rely on the initiative of activists.
Nikolai Sherstnev emphasized that in the near future it is necessary to organize closer interaction with young people. He also proposed creating more construction brigades, whose work would be concentrated in our region.
– I will organize my working time and find an opportunity to meet with you more often, I am convinced this will be the right thing to do, – promised the chairman of the regional executive committee. – Every congress is a kind of historical event that you will remember for a long time and tell your descendants about. Pay attention that you should not just sit quietly there, because you are participants, which means you must take part in the dialogue, defend your point of view. Be active, persistent in achieving your goals, and only then will there be a result. And sometimes you have to fight for it. Youth today is the locomotive that needs to be loaded. You have enough strength and energy to work together for the good of the Motherland.
According to the first secretary of the BRSM regional committee, Vladimir Babichev, modern youth is the most important cultural, intellectual, and professional reserve of society, on the quality of life and development of which the future of Belarus depends.
"VV" Reference. The extraordinary congress of the BRSM will be held tomorrow in Minsk under the slogan "Youth Unity is the Strength of Belarus!". The youth forum is planned in the format of an open dialogue and has brought together 500 delegates from all regions of Belarus: BRSM activists representing various categories of youth – students, working youth, rural youth, public servants, and those serving in law enforcement agencies.
Konstantin Protopopov, a student of secondary school No. 15 in Novopolotsk, is the youngest delegate to the congress, representing the Vitebsk region. He has been a member of the Youth Union for about two years. During this time, he has managed to prove himself in various capacities: he participated in the volunteer movement, in the youth law enforcement unit movement, and in the events and projects of the Youth Union ("100 Ideas for Belarus", sports events, trainings and seminars, various labor campaigns).
– The 44th Congress of the BRSM is a significant event for the youth and the country, – said Konstantin. – The development strategy of the organization until 2025 will be approved there. I believe that the draft strategy should cover all areas of the Youth Union's activities. Of course, at the 44th Congress of the BRSM, I will primarily learn more about the organization's work. I will understand what goals the BRSM sets for itself and the stages of their implementation, as well as how the youth movement will develop in the future.
As noted by Tatyana Krasakova, the First Secretary of the Vitebsk City Committee of the BRSM, the development of the organization is impossible without changes.
– Our organization is doing everything necessary for the development of state youth policy: we are increasing the involvement of young men and women in the socio-political life of the country, generating new projects and programs, providing volunteer assistance, and helping young people find their first job, and much more, – emphasized Tatyana Krasakova. – The development of our organization has been progressive; we have sought support from young people and assistance from our experienced partners – state management bodies and constructive public organizations. It is very important for the organization now to adopt an important document and outline indicators for achieving goals, so that in the pursuit of new projects, we preserve the main vectors of state youth policy development.
