As part of the 'Our Children' campaign, Vladimir Penin visited the Sloboda Kindergarten-Secondary School
The children warmly welcomed the guest, invited him to participate in a game-contest for attentiveness and dexterity, and presented him with handmade souvenirs as a gift.
– You are our future. The country's life and development in the coming years depend on you. I am sure that among you there are future prominent scientists, competent engineers; you can achieve a lot if you strive for the best and work hard, – Vladimir Penin addressed the students and assured them that the state will continue to do everything possible to ensure worthy conditions for this. He handed over to the school principal Elena Puzikova a certificate for 4 thousand rubles from the Regional Executive Committee for improving the material and technical base of the educational institution, as well as sweet gifts, which were presented to the children by Ded Moroz (Father Frost) after the morning performance.
Elena Mikhailovna noted that a multimedia projector and screen, a laptop, a modern television, an acoustic system for the school, and a washing machine for the kindergarten will be purchased with these funds. On behalf of the administration, the teaching staff, and the students, she thanked the guests for their assistance. Local authorities also contributed to the gift marathon: the students of the Slobodskaya school received sports equipment and sweets from the Shumilino District Executive Committee and the Council of Deputies.
– The "Our Children" campaign, which is taking place throughout the republic, began on December 9 and will end in mid-January. Its main goal is to surround the younger generation with care, who in the future will contribute to
a contribution to the prosperity of our state. The regional executive committee pays great attention to the development of education," said Vladimir Penin. "This year alone, about 500 million rubles were allocated to this sector, which were spent on the construction, major and current repairs of schools and kindergartens. In particular, the second phase of the nursery-kindergarten-primary school in Novopolotsk was commissioned, and secondary schools in Dubrovno and Tolochin were repaired. The construction of kindergartens in Glubokoye and Orsha is underway, and they will be commissioned next year. In addition, the regional executive committee purchased 8 buses for transporting students to educational institutions, and 11 buses appeared thanks to the Bank for Reconstruction and Development. For next year, it is planned to allocate about 570 million rubles for education."Natalia Kamleva. Photo by Anton Stepanishchev. "Vitebskiye Vesti".
