Youth Day will be held as part of the "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" (+program)

On July 18, as part of the official program of the XXIX International Arts Festival "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk", the city over the Dvina will host the Youth Day in the format of the youth festival "#YouthDays2020", which will traditionally bring together the most creative and sporty youth from all regions of Belarus (DOWNLOAD PROGRAM).

Residents and guests of the festival Vitebsk will be able to visit thematic youth locations: #CreativeYouth and #SportYouth.

The central events of Youth Day will begin at 10:00 AM on Victory Square. Throughout the day, interactive platforms will be open here: "#BelarusRemembers!", "FOR Belarus!", "#HonorTraditions!", "#LiveBrightly!", "#BeHealthy!", "#DoGood!", "#BeWithUs!". Anyone can become a participant of the "Alternative" courtyard games festival and recall their favorite games: "Square", "I Know Five Names", "Broken Telephone", "Tag", "Edible-Inedible", "Legs", etc.

The "True Copy" cover festival will not leave the audience indifferent. For example, the cover band "Yozhkin Kot" from the Soligorsk district of the Minsk region will perform both original compositions and popular hits from the repertoire of Max Korzh and the band "Kino", and the Honored Amateur Collective of Belarus, the instrumental ensemble "Breeze" from the Stolin district of the Brest region, will perform hits: "Je taime", "Tuman", "Tantsy na steklakh", "With you", "Ryba moey mechty", "Back in the U.S.S.R", and others. Here, on Victory Square, with the support of the KiberRoom club, the First Open Regional Esports Tournament will be held. Capital graffiti artists Ivan Koltovich and Ilya Truskovsky, authors of the 350m canvas #raZAм in Minsk, will create a new graffiti work in Vitebsk.

The grand opening ceremony of Youth Day will take place at 12:00 PM. It will include the presentation of the republican project "Pashtouka.BEL", which is aimed at popularizing the country's achievements and will be implemented in the "Postcrossing" format.

At 12:30 PM, the "#YouthRun" will start. It is planned that the healthy lifestyle marathon will be attended by

three hundred young people. They will cover a distance of 6.5 km along the route: Victory Square - Lenin Street - Frunze Street - Smolenskaya Street - Moskovsky Prospekt - Victory Square. Registration for the sports marathon was held in advance. The main conditions are age 18+ and good health.

At 12:40 PM, as part of the patriotic event "Belarus Remembers. We Remember Everyone", youth will lay flowers at the memorial complex in honor of the Soviet soldiers-liberators, partisans and underground fighters of Vitebsk region and will unfurl the republican banner "Belarus Remembers!" with the names of Heroes of the Soviet Union and full Knights of the Order of Glory, participants of the Great Patriotic War - Belarusians and natives of Belarus.

At 1:30 PM, the BRSM, under the slogan "Preserving - Multiplying!", will launch the republican project "Open Dialogue 'Belarus: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow'". The discussion platform will begin its work at the V.I. Lenin Vitebsk Regional Library with the participation of over 120 young people. During the topical discussion, together with experts – heads of the Ministry of Education, Vitebsk region, NGO "BRSM" – they will discuss a number of issues related to youth policy, their participation in solving socio-economic, cultural, legal, environmental and other problems, and the implementation of youth initiatives as a means of forming an active civic position.

From 10:00 AM, a large-scale youth sports event for extreme sports virtuosos is planned at the site near the Summer Amphitheater. With the support of the Belarusian Skating Union, young people will participate in speed roller skating competitions, and with the Belarusian Skateboarding Federation – in the open championship Belarus Skateboard Challenge. At the same venue, there will be demonstration performances by the strongest kettlebell lifters of Belarus and the open regional kettlebell sport competition "Governor's Cup", as well as the regional 3x3 basketball tournament. Those who prefer the roar of engines and the impact sound will be welcomed at the Soviet Army Park at the "Hot Weekend" auto festival.

The final chord of Youth Day will be the night parade of participants of the republican project "Youth Train #Belarus. Youth. Inspiration" (21:30): students, representatives of work collectives, IT and blogosphere, youth public and sports associations, parliamentarians and volunteers. The youth team will parade from Victory Square to the railway station, where the farewell ceremony for the youth team will take place (22:40). For seven days, on a railway train stylized with the project's symbols, they will travel along the route Vitebsk – Shklov – Mogilev – Gomel – Pinsk – Brest – Grodno – Molodechno – Minsk and take part in a rich program.

The organizer of Youth Day is the Belarusian Republican Youth Union with the support of the Ministry of Education of Belarus and the "Vitebsk" Cultural Center of the Directorate of the International Festival of Arts "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk".
