In Rossony, the social service now provides nanny and caregiver services

To expand the range of services at the Territorial Center for Social Services of the Population of the Rossony District, nanny and caregiver positions have been introduced since February 1 of this year. They were previously provided for in the approximate staffing table, but for one reason or another were not in demand.

– Nanny assistance is provided to families where twins or triplets are born. Today, there are about half a dozen families raising twins under the age of three. A nanny is employed on a part-time basis for one of these child duets living in Rossony. Two more families with twins are located in the agro-town of Krasnopolye, one each in the agro-town of Selyavshchina and the settlement of MSO. If nannies are needed there as well, we will hire them within other staff positions, making possible adjustments without prejudice to existing employees, – explains the center's director Anna Yasinskaya.

Nanny services are free. She works no more than 4 hours a day on a 5-day week, and if there are triplets in the family, she can be employed there for no more than 8 hours a day. The nanny accompanies one of the parents in childcare, being responsible for their life and health. Her work schedule is dictated by the children's wakefulness and rest schedule. Families raising young children, one of whom is a disabled child under 4 years of age, can also use the nanny's services.

Since March 1, the TSSON has had a caregiver position, which involves providing social and domestic services at home to individuals with severe limitations of life activities. The scope of work is from 10 to 40

hours per week. During the contractually agreed time (lunch break – from 13:00 to 14:00), the caregiver must ensure cleanliness in the premises, the patient's diet and hygiene procedures, and their walks in a wheelchair. If necessary, they should assist with eating and taking medication, measure temperature and blood pressure, provide first aid, call a doctor to the home, etc. These services cost 3.5 thousand rubles per hour. Lonely low-income citizens whose pensions are below the subsistence minimum are entitled to a 50 percent discount.

 – When it became known that the center needed a nanny and a caregiver, 7 candidates were immediately found. The clients made the choice, as Rossony is a small town, everyone knows each other. The parents of twins liked a woman of working age who had raised her own children. And the family of the disabled person hired the caregiver who had previously looked after him, having been employed through the labor and social protection department. Due to circumstances, she turned out to be available, and she is gladly welcomed back into the home. The work of nannies and caregivers is accountable and controlled, – said Anna Yasinskaya.
