About 75% of vouchers have been booked in Vitebsk region sanatoriums, including by foreigners
As reported by Elena Andreykova, Head of the Representative Office of the Vitebsk Regional Department of the Republican Center for Health Improvement and Sanatorium-Resort Treatment of the Population, about 75% of vouchers for the upcoming season have been booked in the region's health resorts.
More than 17 thousand vouchers were sold in the first quarter of this year, of which almost half were to individuals, and the rest were equally divided between legal entities and the Republican Center for Health Improvement and Sanatorium-Resort Treatment of the Population.
Foreigners are showing increasing interest in the lake region of Belarus, notes Elena Andreykova. In the first quarter, 1.3 thousand more tourists vacationed in the health resorts of the Vitebsk region compared to the same period last year. These are mainly Russians, but recently citizens of Poland, Germany, and the Baltic countries have also been coming to us. Export of services increased by 30%.
It is possible to spend a vacation and improve health in the region in 9 sanatorium-resort organizations, 3 student sanatorium-dispensaries, and 77 health improvement institutions with a total capacity of over 4.5 thousand beds.
The lake region is a brand in itself, but in market conditions, it must be able to be sold. To promote sanatorium-resort services, the region's sanatoriums are creating social media groups where they inform about their services, promotions, and events, issue discount cards to regular customers, and develop flexible discount systems, etc.
The material and technical base is being improved, and new types of medical services are being introduced. As Elena Andreykova noted, recently the region's sanatoriums have been paying special attention to SPA services, which are in high demand among vacationers.
