The polyclinic of the central district hospital has opened in Senno after major repairs
The need to renovate the facility has been long overdue. After all, according to chief physician Igor Mizavtsov, the building is quite venerable: it was commissioned in 1974, which is why the clinic became one of the reconstruction objects in the district center. The renovation began last June. Of course, medical staff had to work in cramped conditions during this time to continue providing uninterrupted care to the population. Colleagues from different departments had to share space. The administration even took refuge in the laundry facilities.
Nevertheless, there are no complaints against the contractor – Kruglyanskaya PMK. On the contrary, Igor Mikhailovich admits, he does not recall such high-quality construction work. Journalists also became convinced of this during a short tour of the medical facility.
The renovation of the clinic, during which the builders replaced all plumbing, electrical wiring, and heating systems, cost almost 1.3 million rubles. The funds came mainly from the regional budget, but the district also made its contribution.
Many offices received new equipment, for which over 50 thousand rubles were allocated within the framework of the State Program "People's Health and Demographic Security of the Republic of Belarus for 2016-2020". Thanks to this, the diagnostic base has significantly improved. Among the major acquisitions is a new "Cosmos" X-ray machine from the Minsk firm "Drive", which significantly expands the range of examinations while minimizing radiation exposure to the patient. The ultrasound department has been equipped with modern vascular, intracavitary, and cardiological probes, which allow for more complete and high-quality diagnostics. It has also become more comfortable for ophthalmologists and visitors to the physiotherapy room. The inpatient department has been supplemented with a defibrillator-monitor, an electro-vacuum system, and a lung ventilator. All offices are equipped with new furniture and connected by a unified local network.
In such conditions, one wants to work. Igor Mikhailovich gladly notes the fact that there is now simply an influx of young specialists.
Renovation
The material base of Sennensk medics does not end there. The renovation of the polyclinic is only one of the stages in the planned modernization activities for the institution. As a result, the Central District Hospital should become a modern and high-tech medical service center for the entire region.
