There are more gold medalists in the schools of Vitebsk region

Following the results of the academic year and final exams in the region's schools and gymnasiums, 448 graduates of the 11th grade received certificates of general secondary education of a special sample, awarded with a gold or silver medal. In 2015, there were fewer medalists – 381.

Certificates of general basic education with honors were also received by 578 students (in 2015 – 574 people).

The presence of a medal gives 11th-grade graduates the right to enroll without entrance examinations in higher educational institutions for a number of pedagogical specialties approved by the Ministry of Education, provided they have a recommendation from the pedagogical council of the educational institution they graduated from.
