In Shumilino, "Forest Guardian" and "Dance of Lovers" sculptures will appear for "Dazhynki"
Shumilino will be decorated with two sculptural compositions for the regional festival of rural workers "Dazhynki", announced the author of the works Ivan Kazak.
One sculpture is called "Beraginya Lesu" (Guardian of the Forest), made by order of the Vitebsk State Production Forestry Association. The composition depicts a girl with a wolf, a hare, an owl, and a squirrel next to her. Birds and oak leaves are "woven" into the girl's hair, and maple leaves and a fern flower adorn the "Beraginya Lesu" attire. The height of the work is 1.65 m. The composition will be unveiled on September 14 in a small forest area - it is located to the right when entering Shumilino from the direction of Vitebsk. A memorial alley is also planned to be laid during the opening.
"Tanets Vlyublennykh" (Dance of Lovers) with a pedestal will be about 3 m high. It is a dancing young couple, with two doves soaring above their heads, and the upper part of the composition is framed by a wreath of flowers. "Tanets Vlyublennykh" will be installed near the Palace of Culture, which is currently being reconstructed.
The sculptures are made of composite material, which is very reliable and strong. Ivan Kazak has been working with it for several years.
The regional festival-fair of rural workers "Dazhynki-2021" will be held in Shumilino on September 18. More than 80% of the work to prepare for the holiday has already been completed, and many facilities are in the final stage of repair. A cultural program is planned, and the organizers want to make a memorable holiday for the residents of Shumilino and guests of the city. The capital of "Dazhynki" is located on the road between Vitebsk and Polotsk, whose residents will be able to spend their weekend at the festival.
