A pharmacy reopened in Shumilino after reconstruction

Pharmacy No. 40, which opened this week after reconstruction in the district center, has become a real gift for Shumilin residents and the district's inhabitants.

The modernized building has acquired a modern look and expanded in area. Now it includes a storage room according to standards, a water treatment room, a restroom, and a staff room. The interior filling has qualitatively changed. 4 billion rubles were spent for these purposes, allocated by the Vitebsk Unitary Enterprise "Farmatsiya". Specialists from the "Stroysfera" enterprise worked at the facility, completing the task in 3.5 months.

15 people work in the renovated pharmacy. There is a 10% discount on Belarusian medicines for pensioners. Customers are satisfied. There is no need to go far, a wide selection of drugs, and the service is top-notch.

Vladimir Terentyev, Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, who attended the grand opening of the facility, noted:

— A beautiful, convenient, modern pharmacy is designed not only to please the eye but also to help people maintain their health. And this is not the only facility that has been given a new life. If you drive around the district, you can see renovated schools and FAPs, reconstructed and modernized dairy farms, installed and updated memorial signs in honor of fallen countrymen. Much is also being built in the region. This week alone, a family-type house is opening in the Polotsk district, an infectious diseases department at the Rossonskaya Central District Hospital, a health center in Postavy, here in Shumilino, a 32-apartment building is being commissioned, and a sports and recreation complex with a swimming pool will soon be ready. All this speaks of continuous development and the pursuit of improving the quality of life.

— People come to the pharmacy not only for medicines and consultations, but also simply for communication. Now it will be much more convenient for visitors, and more comfortable for the staff, — said Elena Orlova, General Director of UP "Farmatsiya". — This means that everyone will be in a good mood. This week, pharmacies are opening in Lepel and the urban-type settlement of Ruba, major repairs are underway at the central pharmacy of the Postavy district, and construction work is nearing completion at a similar facility in Baran. This year, 14 new pharmacies of the 5th category are being prepared for opening. There are 270 such facilities in the Vitebsk region. The rural population is provided with medicines through 473 retail outlets. Thus, state standards are met in the region by more than 150%, and in Shumilino – by 225.
