In Shumilino, thieves stole a safe, but it turned out to be empty

In three days, two post offices in the Shumilino district were robbed: in Obol and in the district center itself.

In both cases, said the first deputy head of the Department of Internal Affairs, Igor Shatilo, unknown persons broke through the window bars:

– Ground floor premises that are not equipped with alarms and video recording are easy prey for criminals. In the Obol branch, thieves made off with food: they took pasta, candies, and canned goods worth about two million rubles. But in Shumilino, they took a fancy to an old safe and took nothing else. Fortunately, nothing had been stored in it for a long time – it was empty.

The next day, police officers found the opened safe in the bushes by the lake: the unsuccessful robbers apparently hit it with something heavy, and the lock opened. An investigation is underway.
