В шумилинской СШ № 2 им. А. Дубосарского открыли новый корпус
A new building with a modern sports hall, a canteen, and several classrooms has been opened at Shumiilino Secondary School No. 2 named after A. Dubosarsky.

The construction of the facility began in the spring, and at the peak of work, over a hundred builders from Shumiilino PMK-70 were employed here. They also reconstructed the junior school building and replaced engineering networks so that the school could welcome students in an updated form by September 1.

The educational institution had long needed renovation and expansion due to the development of the microdistrict, where apartment buildings were erected. Before the construction of the sports hall, physical education classes were held at the Shumiilino Children and Youth Sports School of the Olympic Reserve.

During the opening of the new building, the Chairman of the Regional Council of Deputies, Vladimir Terentyev, noted that the school staff had to work in difficult conditions for a long time. The renovated school will serve the current and future generations of children, as the microdistrict is growing.

Vladimir Terentyev presented the school principal, Zhanna Ragunovich, with documents for five modern televisions.

The opening of the new building took place as part of the "Our Children" campaign, which solemnly started in the Shumilino district with the participation of the head of the parliamentary corps at Secondary School No. 1 named after Hero of the Soviet Union P. Akutsyonok. Vladimir Terentyev also visited the Shumilino District Center for Correctional and Developmental Education and Rehabilitation, where, together with Svetlana Volkova, Deputy General Director of Vitebskoblgaz, he presented gifts to the students.

As part of the "Our Children" campaign, the younger generation of Shumilino will not only receive gifts but also congratulate their peers. For example, students from Secondary School No. 1 will visit their peers undergoing treatment at the Shumilino Central District Hospital. And schoolchildren from Secondary School No. 2 will go to the pupils of the Vitebsk Special Boarding School.
