In connection with the mass production of protective equipment, light industry enterprises in the Vitebsk region are looking for new employees

Domestic light industry has begun mass production of protective equipment for medical professionals and the general public.

Not only state-owned but also private enterprises of the Belarusian light industry have begun to massively reorient themselves to sewing protective suits, masks, caps, and gloves. Vitebsk region has not remained on the sidelines either. Thus, at the Vitebsk Fur Combine, one of the workshops has been completely converted to mask production, and specialists from the cheese and dyeing production are also joining this process.

Understanding the full complexity of the situation with the spread of coronavirus infection, enterprises such as Orsha Linen Mill, OJSC "Znamya Industrializatsii", and others are ready to employ people to assist in sewing protective items.

As Andrey Shamshura, General Director of OJSC "Znamya Industrializatsii", stated, the factory can provide jobs for 45 non-resident workers (which is the number of available places in the enterprise's dormitory), or employ about 100 people who do not need housing. Corresponding applications have already been submitted to the employment center.

– If a person does not have special education and the necessary experience, but wants to work and can be useful in such an important task as sewing protective equipment, we are ready to train everyone who responds to these vacancies, experienced specialists will be assigned to them, – notes Andrey Vladimirovich.

Of course, beginners will not be immediately allowed to sew protective suits for medical professionals, which have just been launched into production at "ZI", but new hands would allow the enterprise to increase the output of medical gauze masks by 10 thousand pieces per day; currently, they produce over 50 thousand pieces of these items.
