The first pizzeria has appeared in Tolochin

В Толочине появилась первая пиццерия

For the festival-fair of rural workers "Dazhynki-2015" in Tolochin, many socio-cultural facilities were transformed, including the two-level complex of the "Drut" restaurant, which now houses the city's first pizzeria with 42 seats.

Having completely changed its interior, the former fast-food cafe continues to maintain its function by offering set lunches. However, the new service has significantly expanded its customer base. According to Raisa Balobina, the leading engineer-technologist at "Drut," turnover increased more than twofold in the first month of operation. If previously the average revenue was 35-40 million rubles, then in October, they received almost 100 million rubles. The menu features nine types of pizza with very affordable prices ranging from 37 to 66 thousand rubles (weight 420-500 g), with "Appetizing" and "Hearty" being the most popular. Initially, the surge in demand allowed for selling a hundred pizzas a day; now, an average of fifty are sold, which is also very good by local standards. To attract customers, the Tolochin culinary team plans to introduce new varieties of this Italian dish. Moreover, customers can order pizza according to their own recipe by simply choosing ingredients from a special leaflet. This way of getting a meal is particularly popular among high school students.

It is also becoming a tradition among the younger generation to celebrate birthdays and various holidays at the "Drut" pizzeria. Schoolchildren from rural areas also come here to try a product familiar to their urban peers and relax in their own company. For instance, 18 students from the Zhuknevo basic school recently visited the cafe. In addition to pizza, seven types of ice cream, pastries, tea, and coffee are offered to young clients.
