Car races were held in the center of Vitebsk
Every summer, the best drivers in the country put on demonstration performances in various parts of Belarus to urge motorists to improve their driving skills, and thus road safety.
Traditionally, Vitebsk becomes one of the venues for the campaign. This year, the races took place on a section of the road between PSU named after P. Masherov and the Sports Palace. Spectators could not only attend master classes but also test sports cars and participate in contests.
Another highlight of the event was the performance of racers as part of the autoslalom championship. Participants maneuvered between cones, demonstrated J-turns, and the high-speed capabilities of their racing cars.
Over 20 drivers from Vitebsk, Minsk, Molodechno, Slutsk, and Svetlogorsk competed for medals. As a result, the best was the capital's professional Alexander Tsedrik, his brother Evgeny took bronze, and our compatriot Alexey Shendyukov won silver.
Alongside the men, the fairer sex also competed for awards, including Vitebsk resident Maria Zarubina. Unfortunately, the girl did not manage to reach the prize-winners.
As the event in the regional center coincided with the preparation of children for school, traffic police officers did not miss the opportunity to once again remind schoolchildren and their parents of the Traffic Rules. An interactive platform for studying traffic rules was in operation. Those who wished tested their theoretical knowledge by passing an exam and practiced it on a specialized track.
