A presentation of the tourist opportunities of the Vitebsk region will be held at the "Ilva" tourist salon.
JLLC "Ilva Tourist Company" with the support of the Department of Sports and Tourism of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee with the aim of developing the tourist potential of the Vitebsk region organizes a promotional tour for leading Russian tour operators on October 4-5, 2013, inviting media representatives.
The largest travel companies from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Vladimir, Vologda, Yaroslavl, Sochi, Krasnodar, Arkhangelsk, and other cities of the Russian Federation, as well as Riga (Latvia), have confirmed their participation in this event.
Participants of the promotional tour will get acquainted with the tourist infrastructure of Vitebsk and Polotsk. The rich program, in addition to visiting well-known tourist sites, includes presentations of various animation programs. Employees of the National Polotsk Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve will present a new perspective on ancient Polotsk. Employees of the Marc Chagall Museum in Vitebsk are preparing their creative surprises.
At the Museum of Medieval Chivalry in Polotsk, participants will experience an unusual excursion with an animation program prepared by the People's Theater of Historical Costume "Polotsky Zvyaz". At the I. Repin Estate Museum "Zdravnevo", students of the State College of Culture and Arts will "bring to life" pages from the history of the great artist's family.
On October 5, at 9:00 AM, the "Ilva" tourist lounge will host a presentation of the tourist opportunities of the Vitebsk region, as well as cultural and educational projects and programs implemented by the largest tour operator in the region.
This event is designed to promote an increase in the export of tourist services provided, and to attract an ever-growing number of tourists to our region. One of the goals is to demonstrate that such "gems" as Vitebsk and Polotsk are part of tourist trips around Belarus.
