More than 9.2 thousand people have been included in the precinct election commissions of the Vitebsk region
Analyzing the activity of the subjects of the electoral process, another tradition has remained unchanged in the current electoral campaign: the majority of commission members are represented by activists of public associations, including political parties. Their share exceeds 50%. Approximately another 40% of the commission members are representatives nominated by citizens. The share of nominees from work collectives did not reach 10% this time, and compared to the previous presidential campaign, their representation has decreased by almost half. It is understandable that the epidemiological situation affects various aspects of the electoral marathon, including this one.
Among public associations, trade unions, which are part of the FPB, have the largest representation, accounting for 17.7% (over 1.6 thousand people) of the total number of commission members. Additionally, the public association "Belaya Rus" (its activists account for 6.7%), BRSM (6.2%), the veterans' public association (6%), the Belarusian Women's Union (5.2%), the Belarusian Peace Foundation (3.9%), and a number of other organizations, whose share is slightly over 4%, have shown active interest in participating in the work of precinct election commissions.
Among party organizations, the Communist Party of Belarus has the largest representation – 60 people. Over 20 activists from the Republican Party of Labour and Justice are also working in precinct election commissions, along with 3 members each from the Liberal Democratic Party and the Belarusian Social Democratic Party (Hramada), and one member each from the Belarusian Agrarian Party and the BPF Party.
