In Ushachy, a school stadium was opened after major repairs and modernization
New running tracks, courts for volleyball, basketball, mini-football, stands - the stadium has been transformed beyond recognition, and now the children are enthusiastically engaged in physical education at the school sports complex. The modernization project took two years, and the construction itself was carried out from April 2021. Immediately after the opening, an open district football tournament was held at the stadium, and the right to make the first kick was given to the chairman of the regional executive committee Alexander Subbotin, who attended the ceremony.
Among the guests was the President’s Aide, Inspector for the Vitebsk Region, Anatoly Linevich, who noted that the development of sports in the regions is one of the fundamental tasks of the state and local authorities. "Modern schools have long gone beyond the educational process. Today, they are multifunctional complexes for people living in district centers. They unite parents, children, teachers, and older generations who gather together to spend time with health benefits. This stadium is an example of a sports facility built using new technologies. I am confident that footballers and other athletes who will proudly represent our country in competitions of various levels will grow on this field," emphasized the President’s Aide.
The Director of the Sports School added that the new stadium will become a center for health, harmonious spiritual and physical development of children and adolescents in the future, and for some, it will be the first step towards Olympic medals. District competitions in various sports will be held here. In Ushachi District, football, basketball, athletics, rifle shooting, sambo and judo, as well as swimming and biathlon are cultivated among children and adults. -0-
