A military-historical reconstruction "Platsdarm-1944" was held in the village of Uzrechye, Beshenkovichi district.

В Узречье Бешенковичского района прошла военно-историческая реконструкция «Плацдарм-1944»
The event is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the district from the Nazi invaders.

Representatives of the district leadership, residents, and guests of Beshenkovichi gathered at the "Uzhrechye" Memorial Complex, a few kilometers from the village of Ulla. At 11:00 AM, a requiem rally was held at the mass grave where 212 Soviet soldiers are buried, including eight Heroes of the Soviet Union. Those present honored the memory of the victors with a minute of silence.

The event was attended by the heads of the administrations of the Sebezhsky and Pskovsky districts of the Pskov region of Russia. Also present were guests from Penza, Nadym, Tver, Moscow, and the only living witness of those terrible events who has survived to this day, Tamara Alexandrovna Yankovskaya, a native of the village of Uzhrechye, now a resident of St. Petersburg, aged 96.

After the rally, participants of the military-historical festival "Platsdarm-1944" recreated in detail the crossing of the Western Dvina by the soldiers of the 6th Guards Army under the command of Colonel-General Ivan Chistyakov, who, in the course of a fierce battle, at the cost of their own lives, liberated a piece of Belarusian land from the fascists.

Thematic platforms will open at 5:00 PM. The event will conclude at 8:00 PM with a festive concert.
