A family-type children's home has been opened in Verkhnedvinsk

Recently, a family-type children's home celebrated its housewarming in Verkhnedvinsk. The celebration gathered numerous guests. Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Alexander Subbotin, Chairman of the Board of OJSC "Savings Bank "Belarusbank", member of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Viktor Ananich, and representatives of public organizations came to congratulate the family. Together with the hosts, they became participants of the event, which was filled with fun and joy, and the eyes of the children sparkled with admiration. The seven children of foster mother Taisiya Miklushonok knew that a house was being built for their large family. But they could not even imagine in their wildest dreams that they would receive a two-story mansion with 11 rooms and an area of over 300 sq. m.

— Many years ago, the head of state set a task for businesses and the state apparatus to ensure that every child in our country is raised in a family. And "Belarusbank" has been contributing to its solution since 2008 within the framework of the charitable project "Parent's Home," noted Viktor Ananich.

Today, we are handing over the 17th cottage. It is intended for the family-type children's home of Taisiya Aleksandrovna Miklushonok. It is the third and largest in the Vitebsk region. Despite the fact that only a mother will raise them, I am sure that Taisiya Aleksandrovna's wisdom, patience, love, and care will be enough to instill the main family values in all the children and raise true citizens and patriots of her country. And "Belarusbank" will always be there, supporting and lending a shoulder.

Viktor Mikhailovich presented the hostess of the new house with a symbolic key. Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Alexander Subbotin wished the housewarming party happiness, family warmth, and coziness. – May Olympiad winners, scientists, great athletes grow up here, may everyone find love and understanding, and when they go into adult life, may they return as if to their own home, – said Alexander Mikhailovich and presented the mother with her foster children with a gift certificate.

The head of the region also thanked Belarusbank for taking care of children left without parental care.

The Chairman of the district executive committee, Vasily Shilov, thanked the builders who, in almost six months, erected the building and equipped the territory, which included a room for storing bicycles and other sports equipment, and a playground.

There were many gifts on this day. A certificate from the district executive committee, sports equipment from the regional department of Belarusbank, and sweets from Belaya Rus.

Santa Claus and Domovoy (a house spirit) also visited the children, presenting a horseshoe for luck and giving out candies.

The frosty weather did not lend itself to long conversations outside, so the hosts and guests hurried indoors. While the adults were looking at the playroom and admiring the kitchen equipment, equipped with all necessary household appliances (Taisiya Alexandrovna proudly demonstrated the dishwasher and washing machine, refrigerator, stoves, and electrical appliances, all of Belarusian manufacturers, by the way), the children were choosing rooms. Each chose the one they liked best for the color of the wallpaper, curtains, bedspreads, and furniture. With seven children, each could get their own room. "It's a dream come true," said Mikhail, the eldest boy in the family.

In their previous home, there were only three rooms – for the mother, boys, and girls. They slept on bunk beds and crowded around the dining table. Now there is so much space, the children said in unison.

Of course, Taisiya Alexandrovna was also happy with the new conditions. Four years ago, she made a difficult decision for herself – to become a foster mother. She was widowed early and raised her daughters alone. She worked at a bakery for 29 years. She was friends with a woman who raised children left without parental care and helped her in many ways. And at some point, she decided to dedicate herself to children deprived of parental love.

Now she is like a mother to them. She takes care of each of them, teaches them what they will need in everyday life, and develops their creative abilities.

– The boys are all keen on sports, they attend classes at the Children and Youth Sports School, Misha is into computer engineering, Arina is good at drawing, dancing, and vocals, – Taisiya Alexandrovna told about her foster children. – I really want to raise them as worthy people, so that their lives turn out well.

They say that on New Year's Eve, the heavens open, the Lord hears wishes that come from the heart, and kind people help to fulfill them. May these people with big hearts be encountered by the children as often as possible on their life path.
