A new sports and recreation complex and a 12-apartment building will be opened in Verkhnedvinsk during the "Dazhynki" festival
In the district center, construction and repair work on facilities has reached the final stage. A total of about 220 facilities are being prepared for the regional festival of rural workers "Dazhynki-2018". The city has been actively changing its appearance since spring, and large volumes of work have been carried out. The new fountain installed in the city has become a popular spot for residents. In total, about Br20 million has been allocated for the preparation for the holiday.
"During the holiday, we will open a new sports and recreation complex with a swimming pool, a cultural center, and a 12-apartment building for those in need of improved housing conditions. Streets are currently being repaired, and houses are being improved. In general, Verkhnedvinsk is 90% ready to host the regional "Dazhynki". People understand the responsibility and importance of such an event and are helping to tidy up. Some are improving and decorating their personal adjacent territories to present their city in the best possible way to guests," said Igor Markovich.
According to him, the city's renewal will not stop after the holiday. In the coming years, issues of further renovation of houses and the city's sports hall will be addressed.
During the familiarization with the preparations for the holiday, the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Nikolai Sherstnev visited the main facilities.
