The first festival of forest ideas will be held in Verkhnedvinsk

The dendrological park of the State Forestry Institution "Verkhnedvinskoye Forestry" is a truly unique place, where exotic shrubs and trees grow, framing ponds with bridges and gazebos. There is also a small guest house with a museum exhibition dedicated to this corner of nature. The dendrological park is very popular among locals and newlyweds, who often have photo sessions there. But now the residents of Verkhnedvinsk decided to share their treasure with guests, inviting them on October 19 to the festival of forest ideas, as reported by the department of ideological work, culture, and youth affairs of the district executive committee.

A sign to the dendrological park will appear on the R-20 highway leading from Polotsk to Latvia. You can walk through these places without a guide: a plaque placed next to each plant will tell you about it. Here you can also feed birds and squirrels. But during the holiday itself, foresters will conduct an excursion, enriching it with stories from nature's life. In addition, posters with quotes from famous people about forest wealth will be displayed on the territory of the dendrological park.

The festival promises to be bright and eventful. The program includes an exhibition-competition of original benches "Alone with Nature", sale of honey, bath brooms, planting material, demonstration performances by employees of the State Forestry Institution "Verkhnedvinskoye Forestry", a concert by the RDC ensembles "Songs of Autumn", an exhibition of children's works made from natural materials, as well as an exhibition of environmental literature. The holiday aims to become the district's tourist brand, and the dendrological park will be included in the tourist route schemes for the Verkhnedvinsk region.
