The stage of the VII Cyril and Methodius Educational Readings was held at VSU

The first part of the VII Cyril and Methodius Educational Readings of Young Researchers "Slavic History, Culture and Writing: Study, Preservation, Augmentation" was held at PSU named after P. Masherov.

Alongside the university, the Vitebsk Diocese of the BPC, the education department of the regional executive committee, and the Vitebsk Regional Institute for the Development of Education, the organizers of this traditional project included the councils of young scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and PSU named after P. Masherov.

The speakers of the first part of the readings were over 70 high school students not only from Vitebsk schools but also from Braslav, Glubokoye, Lepel, Polotsk, Tolochin, and other districts. A wide range of topics was dedicated to the spiritual potential of classical and modern literature, the origins of modern spirituality, cultural and historical values in education, and spiritual traditions in culture and art. The works of young researchers were presented in Russian and Belarusian.

The second part of the readings, which will take place on May 21, will bring together students, seminarians, students of theological academies, master's students, postgraduate students, and young scientists under the age of 35 who are conducting research in history, law, economics, and culture.

All materials will be published online, and a unified collection of reports from the VI and VII Cyril and Methodius Readings is also expected. In general, this project is designed to stimulate research work among youth, and to foster the growth of the younger generation as thinking individuals capable of making sound decisions in life, including based on the spiritual experience of the Belarusian people.
