Tax Free system comes to Vitebsk

Currently, a specialized automated system is being installed in the store, the necessary software is being implemented, and testing is being conducted. The system is planned to be launched by the end of the first half of the current year, noted Svetlana Karput. Thus, foreign guests and participants of the International Festival of Arts "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" will be able to make purchases at the department store under the Tax Free system.

In total, two stores in the Vitebsk region are connected to Tax Free - in Polotsk and Postavy.

The Tax Free system (a mechanism for refunding VAT on Belarusian goods purchased in the republic by foreigners) was introduced in Belarus on January 1, 2013, and is designed to stimulate retail sales of consumer goods by foreign tourists. The minimum purchase amount for VAT refund should be Br800 thousand.
