On January 7, festive events dedicated to Orthodox Christmas were held in Vitebsk
The Holy Assumption Cathedral, after the night and morning festive divine services, was again filled with believers by noon, welcoming Archbishop Dmitry of Vitebsk and Orsha.
Representatives of the authorities traditionally came to the festive church. The Chairman of the Regional Council of Deputies, Vladimir Terentyev, congratulated Archbishop Dmitry and presented the bishop with a bouquet of white roses.
The ruling bishop traditionally led the solemn Christmas Moleben, which he performed in concelebration with the city clergy.
