To the sound of a drum roll, spruce wreaths of military glory in the colors of state symbols were laid on behalf of the regional executive committee and the regional council of deputies by Alexander Subbotin, Dmitry Demidov, and the President's aide for the Vitebsk region, Sergey Levkovich.
Thousands upon thousands of Vitebsk residents and guests of the city, by the call of their hearts, honored with a bow and laying flowers the memory of the soldiers and officers of the Red Army who achieved the Great Victory with their bayonets.
The head of the region, Alexander Subbotin, personally congratulated the veterans of the Great Patriotic War who were present at the rally on Victory Day.
