Vitebsk honored the best workers in the region's construction industry
The construction complex of the northern region unites more than 630 construction, contracting, repair, and other organizations of republican, communal, and private ownership, as well as enterprises for the production of building materials, design institutes, and training centers for the training and retraining of workers of various specialties. The total number of employees in the construction complex of the region exceeds 23.6 thousand people.
At the collegium of the committee for architecture and construction of the regional executive committee, Alexander Subbotin addressed the heads and delegates of the collectives with words of deep gratitude.
– Thanks to your work, modern microdistricts are growing, social and industrial facilities are being built. You are changing the appearance of cities and villages, helping to bring positive changes to life, – noted the head of the region. – The preparation of facilities in Vitebsk, Polotsk, and Novopolotsk for the XI Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia served as a certain exam for the builders. And you successfully passed this exam, despite the fact that the work had to be done in a very short time, and the pace of work sometimes exceeded the usual by two or three times. More than thirty contracting and design organizations were involved in the preparation of the facilities.
For labor – and reward: more than 50 certificates of honor and letters of gratitude of various degrees were awarded to representatives of construction enterprises and organizations for conscientious work, professional performance of official duties, and significant personal contribution to the development of the industry.
– The award is a result of the joint efforts of all employees in our team, – said Alexander Zuev, Head of the Department of Control and Supervision of Construction for the Vitebsk Region, holder of the Honorary Diploma of the Regional Executive Committee. – Our work involves controlling the construction of facilities that are of structural interest in terms of safety at all stages – from the beginning to the completion of work. We are confident that the facilities we supervise are built quickly and efficiently due to the concentration of workers and equipment, the use of modern solutions, and rational labor organization.
– Of course, it is pleasant that my honest work is recognized with the badge of the Ministry of Architecture and Construction "Honored Builder," – admitted Vladimir Azarov, an excavator operator at the mechanization department of the Vitebsk DSK State Enterprise. – After serving in the army, I have been working at the same enterprise for 45 years. I am glad that there is stability in our industry now, and we builders love to erect new buildings.
The collegium noted that the construction complex of the region demonstrates positive indicators this year. Thus, for the past period, the gross value added growth rate for the "Construction" section exceeded the republican indicator (108.8%) and amounted to 111.6%. The growth rate of contract work is 111.1%, the growth rate of revenue from sales of products, works, and services is 130.4%, the profitability of realized products, works, and services is 6.9%, and a net profit of 14.9 million rubles was obtained. The commissioning of 137.0 thousand sq. m of housing was ensured, with a target for the current period of 131.6 thousand sq. m. The wage level of construction workers exceeded the regional average and amounted to 2081 rubles.
The coordinated work of the industry was noted by the Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, Alexey Geroev. In particular, the main task for the reporting period was fulfilled – the commissioning of new construction objects. The plan for commissioning housing for military personnel was implemented – more than 90 thousand sq. m. Infrastructure, social and household facilities were commissioned, such as Polyclinic No. 6, which is part of the Orsha Central Polyclinic, Kindergarten No. 2 for 200 places in Miory, a waste processing complex in the Orsha district, and a family-type orphanage in Beshenkovichi. A colossal amount of work was done by builders on many sites in preparation for the XI Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia. For example, with a normative reconstruction period of 14.5 months for the Vitebsk hotel, the work was actually completed in 4.5 months – the impossible became possible.
There are equally significant plans ahead: the region has been assigned a task to commission 365 thousand sq. m of housing – such construction volumes have not been seen in the last five years, but it is realistic to cope if we do not reduce the pace and make efforts.
More than 200 million rubles have been allocated to the region under specific regulatory legal acts of the President of Belarus for the construction of infrastructure facilities. The construction of a new surgical building for the regional clinical hospital, a new polyclinic in Polotsk, and an interregional solid waste management complex in Novopolotsk is ongoing. The construction of a kindergarten with a primary school block in Vitebsk is being completed, and the construction of a hospital in Postavy will begin. Builders remember: the better we work today, the better we will live tomorrow. Therefore, they are creating for the present and the future.
