In Vitebsk, foresters of the region were honored

The Vitebsk Regional Philharmonic Hall had not been so immersed in the greenery of ceremonial uniforms for a long time as it was at the solemn event for the foresters of the Vitebsk region. Employees from all forestry enterprises of the region came to the northern capital to congratulate their colleagues and receive well-deserved awards for their hard work.
The foresters heard the first congratulations from the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Kulik. The honored guest noted that this year has not been easy for the Vitebsk region, as the employees of the forestry enterprises in the northern region have particularly acutely felt the consequences of sanctions; however, they have still restored product sales markets. The Minister also expressed confidence that the new head of the Vitebsk State Production Forestry Association, Yuri Lipsky, will help the forestry enterprises of the Vitebsk region become even more successful and unlock the huge potential that the region possesses.

– Based on the results of the first half of the year, you have exceeded the plans for timber sales volume and lumber production. Today, 20% of the volume of lumber produced in the industry comes from the Vitebsk region, and this is significant potential. And if we talk about the export component, then every eighth dollar earned outside the country also belongs to the forestry enterprises of the northern region, – noted Alexander Kulik.
The Minister presented Certificates of Honor of the Ministry of Forestry to the best workers in the industry.

Next, the baton of celebration was taken up by the Chairman of the Regional Council of Deputies, Vladimir Terentyev. He awarded the foresters with Certificates of Honor from the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee and the Regional Council of Deputies, and in his congratulatory speech, highly praised the work of the Vitebsk foresters, noted their dedication to the cause, and thanked them for their difficult work.
– You not only lead the economic security of our country, but also preserve and multiply the forest fund of Belarus for future generations, which truly gives us the right to call our country a green republic, – emphasized Vladimir Terentyev. – Looking at the seed plantations and nurseries, as well as events like "Forest Week," which are held annually under the auspices of the Ministry of Forestry, one can say that no other country in the world treats the restoration of the forest fund as reverently as Belarus.

Words of gratitude to the Vitebsk foresters were expressed on this day by the Assistant to the President of the Republic of Belarus – Inspector for the Vitebsk Region, Anatoly Linevich, who drew attention to the huge contribution of the Vitebsk region's forestry enterprises to the preservation and multiplication of our country's green wealth and expressed confidence that the new General Director of Vitebsk State Production Forestry Association will help the forestry enterprises of the northern region to improve and reach new heights.

Certificates of Honor from the Vitebsk State Production Forestry Association to the best foresters of the region were presented by the General Director of the structure – Yuri Lipsky.

The new head thanked the foresters for their work and noted that the work of each awardee is a worthy example to follow, both for young people and for more experienced colleagues.
– The past few years have been rich in trials by natural elements; we have seen that it takes just a moment to destroy the work of more than one generation of foresters. However, thanks to the strong character of our employees, the strength of their spirit, and their creative labor, they have honorably served to preserve and multiply the forest wealth of their native region for centuries, – noted Yuri Lipsky.
Also, heads of services with whom forestry closely cooperates – the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Belarusian Railway, and others – came to congratulate the forestry workers on their professional holiday.
