In Vitebsk, wheelchair users will help identify drivers who infringe on their rights in parking lots
August 11, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. Vitebsk wheelchair users will help identify motorists who infringe on their rights in the city's parking lots, the agitation and propaganda department of the traffic police department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee informed a BELTA correspondent.
On August 12, wheelchair users of the regional center, together with traffic police officers, will be on duty near the "Evikom" shopping center to identify drivers who ignore parking signs. All violators will be brought to administrative responsibility. The event will take place as part of the republican public campaign "Free Parking", which started on August 9.
Raids by traffic police officers in Vitebsk in the first days of the campaign, conducted near large shopping centers, showed the relevance of this problem: violations were detected near each of the shopping facilities. During preventive conversations, drivers who left their vehicles in the wrong place admitted that they did not think about the consequences of their actions and the difficulties caused to people with disabilities, the traffic police noted, urging motorists to observe traffic rules and signs.
The "Free Parking" campaign will run until August 15. In the Vitebsk region, preventive raids to identify violators will be organized not only in the regional center but also in other major cities of the region.-0-
