In Vitebsk, young female hockey players will test their skills in official competitions

Six Vitebsk teams will compete for the main prize of the city final of the republican children's and youth ice hockey tournament "Golden Puck" for the prizes of the President of Belarus, the BELTA correspondent was informed by the department of physical culture, sports and tourism of the city executive committee. For the first time, two girls' teams will participate in the final, who will perform out of competition this year. Three teams each in the junior (born 1998-2000) and senior (born 1996-1997) age groups will compete for the right to represent the regional center in the regional final of the popular sports competitions. The participants of the city stage of the tournament were determined based on the results of school and district qualifying tournaments. The organizers of the city competitions decided to include the performance of two girls' teams, who train at the Palace of Creativity of Children and Youth of the Vitebsk Railway District, out of competition. Young female hockey players have been playing puck for several years, so they are ready to test themselves in official starts. They will play matches among themselves, so the boys will not have to blush in case of a possible defeat. In the main games of the city final, which will be held on February 4-5, the teams will determine the strongest collectives in direct confrontation, playing matches in a round-robin system. By tradition, the organizers have established personal prizes for the best hockey players by playing roles, as well as for the best scorer. Regional finals of the "Golden Puck" will be held among teams of the junior age group on March 2-3, and on March 10-11, teams of the senior age group will determine the participant of the republican final games. The organizers of the city competitions are the department of physical culture, sports and tourism of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee and the city committee of the NGO "BRSM". -0-
