In Vitebsk, it will be possible to scrap an old refrigerator or washing machine

One of the co-executors of the State Program for the disposal of household waste was the Vitebsk enterprise "Vitrembyt".

As director Dmitry Belov explained, the disposal of complex household appliances is a problem. For example, refrigerators are not even accepted at landfills because they are not environmentally safe. Therefore, the regional executive committee decided to organize production at "Vitrembyt" for the processing of used washing machines and refrigerators. They will first be disassembled, separating ferrous and non-ferrous metals, and plastic, and then the plastic will be processed into semi-finished products - crushed and granulated.

Such production will not only solve an economically and environmentally significant task, but also increase the workload of the enterprise and the wages of employees. The OJSC has enough space to install new equipment, for the purchase of which it is planned to allocate more than two billion rubles from the regional budget by the end of the year.
