In Vitebsk, the 'Patriot' camp for at-risk teenagers has been opened on the basis of the 103rd Airborne Brigade.

For ten days, juvenile inspectors and servicemen will promote a healthy lifestyle, love for the Motherland, and discipline among children.

— Not every family, especially dysfunctional ones, has the opportunity to send their children for health improvement in the summer. Therefore, the interdepartmental republican program "Care" is traditionally implemented. Its goal is to organize leisure activities for minors and prevent crimes and unlawful behavior on their part, — said Vladimir Vologa, senior inspector for special assignments of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Regional Executive Committee, police major. — At this time, we pay special attention to boys and girls with whom we conduct individual preventive work. Mostly, they come to the attention of law enforcement officers by chance, finding themselves in bad company and committing some offense, for example, drinking beer, sniffing glue, or stealing someone else's property. Therefore, our main task is to limit their contacts with a negative environment, especially during the summer months when schoolchildren have a lot of free time.

The "Patriot" camp is open on the basis of the 103rd Separate Guards Airborne Brigade in Vitebsk. Representatives of the renowned formation have prepared a diverse and interesting program for teenagers, including visits to exhibitions of modern weapons and equipment, ground training for parachute jumps, and excursions to the brigade's museum and barracks.

— If it weren't for the police officers, I would be doing who knows what right now, hanging around the yard, but now I plan to learn a lot of interesting things about military service, to meet the guys from the reconnaissance company who put on a great demonstration for us, — shared sixth-grader Anton Antonov.

The plans of the Internal Affairs Directorate include organizing similar camps for troubled children throughout the region. In particular, in Polotsk — with the support of the local border detachment and Orsha — through the efforts of the internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus. It is possible that the ideas will be implemented as early as next month.
