In Vitebsk, laureates of the 'Talent-Vite' award for supporting talented youth of Belarus were honored

В Витебске наградили лауреатов премии «Таленавита» по поддержке талантливой молодежи Беларуси
The organizers of the "Telena-vita" project for supporting talented youth summed up the results of the first year of work on the International Students' Day, which was celebrated on November 17. In a short period, the initiative of Vitebsk business and the medical university has gone beyond the region, with about a thousand young men and women from all regions of Belarus participating in the program events.

The best of the best were awarded, received invitations to international conferences, and came to the attention of heads of scientific centers, as well as business companies ready to offer employment to the talents they liked. This is the task that the organizers set for themselves – to identify and promote promising youth, without missing a single young talent if possible.

As emphasized by the initiator of the project, Alexey Sychev, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Natvita LLC, in 2018, it was possible to fully implement the planned events, while the program acquired a republican scale.

In the future, the organizers intend to improve their work on identifying and promoting promising young men and women from the regions.

The project is also open to business partners and organizations that share the position of the founders: it is young talents who are capable of generating ideas that drive the economy, science, art, and therefore society as a whole forward.

Arthur Taymazov, a multiple winner and medalist of the Olympic Games and World Championships, and now Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee of Russia, met with promising youth

The final meeting of the project was held at the Vitebsk State Medical University. Traditionally, heads of the regional executive committee, brilliant scientists, successful businessmen, and famous athletes, including Vadim Devyatovsky, Vadim Streltsov, and Arthur Taymazov, a multiple winner and medalist of the Olympic Games and World Championships, and now Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee of Russia, came to the meeting with promising youth.

Oleg Matskevich, First Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee: It is a pleasure to participate in "Talent" again and to be convinced that the project, supported by the regional leadership, is developing, work is being carried out on a systematic basis, and talents are identified from an early age. I hope that through joint efforts with its initiators, we will be able to solve, among other things, the personnel problem, the relevance of which for the economy is constantly growing.

Youth programs help their participants grow into promising specialists who are in demand in all spheres of activity, believes Vitaly Vovk, Aide to the President of the Republic of Belarus — Inspector for the Vitebsk Region. He wished the young talents to become such professionals and presented awards to schoolchildren who excelled in international Olympiads in exact and natural sciences.

The laureates of the "Talent" awards in this nomination were Daria Ivanova from Vitebsk Secondary School No. 31, and students of Gymnasiums No. 5 and No. 7 Nikita Ushakov and German Malykhin.

For high achievements in international competitions among juniors, Elizaveta Dort (shot put), Ekaterina Ershova (trampoline gymnastics), and Artem Kolosov (judo) were awarded. Winners of the "Eureka" research project competition among schoolchildren were also awarded: Maria Smolyakova (Gymnasium No. 2, Vitebsk), Yuri Sholokh (Secondary School No. 4, Postavy), and Ilya Nefedov (Gymnasium No. 1, Vitebsk).

"I want to wish young talents as many victories as possible, and not only at 'Talent', so that success accompanies all your endeavors and initiatives," said Vladimir Penin, Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, addressing the project participants.

While involving schoolchildren in the project, the organizers nevertheless concentrate their main attention on interaction with university science.

— One should start engaging in science from the student bench; it is students who are capable of generating breakthrough ideas. And the task of the older generation is to see the rational kernel in this, to organize young people and create conditions for the development of their talents, — said Oleg Sukonko, Director of the N. Alexandrov Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Oncology and Medical Radiology, adding that two participants in the project have already received job offers at the RSPC he heads.

In 2019, the organizers of "Talentovity" intend to implement another social project

Next year, the organizers of "Talentovity" intend to implement another social project, this time in support of cancer patients, "Live Without Fear." Its goal is to draw the attention of citizens, and primarily women, to the importance of taking care of their health and participating in various programs for early detection of cancer.
