In Vitebsk, on the eve of Defender of the Fatherland Day, wreaths and flowers were laid at the Eternal Flame
On the eve of Defender of the Fatherland and Armed Forces Day of Belarus, festive events were held in Vitebsk and the region.
Representatives of the authorities and the public laid flowers at monuments and mass graves of fallen servicemen, and festive concerts were organized in houses of culture and educational institutions.
In Vitebsk, the leadership of the regional executive committee and city district administrations, delegates from labor collectives, public organizations, and youth gathered on Victory Square – at the monument to Soviet soldiers, partisans, and underground fighters. Salvos of guns were fired in memory of the fallen soldiers.
