In Vitebsk, Nikolai Sherstnev presented passports to talented schoolchildren as part of the campaign "We are citizens of Belarus!"
At the regional philharmonic hall, in a festive atmosphere, the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Nikolai Sherstnev, presented passports to 17 gifted talents of the region.
– Such youth can be proud not only of Vitebsk region but of all of Belarus, – said Nikolai Nikolaevich. – These guys are full of energy and optimism, hopes and plans, they bravely overcome any obstacles and reach new heights.
As noted in his speech by the Chairman of the Vitebsk City Council of Deputies, Vladimir Beleevich, it is noteworthy that the best representatives of our youth are receiving passports on the day of the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus – the Basic Law, behind the letter of which stands a person as the highest value of the state and society, their rights and freedoms, and guarantees of their implementation.
Arseniy Dudkin, a student of Gymnasium No. 1 in Vitebsk, delivered a response speech on behalf of his peers:
– We promise to glorify our small homeland with excellent studies, diligent work, and our good deeds, to be true masters of our native land, and to remember the people who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of our state. This festive day will forever remain in our memory and hearts.
During the campaign, over 380 young people in the Vitebsk region have received passports of citizens of the Republic of Belarus.
