The regional and city Honor Boards in Vitebsk have been updated

A solemn ceremony was held in Vitebsk to honor enterprises and organizations for their labor achievements in 2018 on the regional and city Honor Boards.

By tradition, the event took place in Lenin Square in Vitebsk. The leadership of the region and the city, representatives of labor collectives, and public organizations gathered here.

Congratulating those present at the celebration, the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Nikolai Sherstnev, emphasized that about a billion dollars were invested in the region's economy last year, work continued on modernizing and technically re-equipping production facilities, and creating new enterprises (a total of 380 were opened last year).

-- We have many deserving collectives and authoritative people in the Vitebsk region, but today the first ones named are those who have achieved convincing results in their work and, without stopping at what has been achieved, are moving forward, -- noted Nikolai Sherstnev.

For achieving the best indicators in the socio-economic development and saving fuel, energy, and material resources, the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee honored the city of Vitebsk, Oktyabrsky and Pervomaysky districts of the regional center, and 17 more enterprises and institutions. Nikolai Sherstnev honored the laureates.

17 winners were also inscribed on the city Honor Board, and the corresponding certificates were presented to the triumphant by the Chairman of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee, Viktor Nikolaikin.
