The regional and city Honor Boards in Vitebsk have been updated. The winners of the competition were congratulated by the head of the region, Alexander Subbotin.
Congratulating the winners of the socialist competition in 2021, Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Alexander Subbotin emphasized that it has become a tradition on the eve of May Day to honor those who make our lives better with their labor, who are the guarantor of well-being. Against the backdrop of the challenging economic conditions of the past year, the region ensured growth in industrial production, retail trade turnover, and exports of goods and services. 332 thousand square meters of housing were built, including 140 thousand square meters with state support.
In general, all sectors of the northern region of Belarus worked with net profit and positive sales profitability in 2021. Products from the Dvina region enterprises are supplied to 64 countries worldwide. 370 new enterprises were launched, one-third of which are in the manufacturing sector.
There are successes in construction, agriculture, transport, education, healthcare, culture, and sports. We have many distinguished collectives and authoritative people, emphasized Alexander Subbotin. Today, those who have achieved the most convincing results and are moving forward without stopping at what has been achieved have been recognized.
Vitebsk, Orsha and Polotsk districts have been included in the regional Honor Roll.
Vitebsk is the largest industrial center of the Vitebsk region, accounting for about 30% of the region's industrial production volumes and 41.7% of revenue. Growth rates in industrial production (103.5%), retail trade turnover (102.6%), and exports of goods and services (137.2% and 121.3% respectively) have been ensured. Among the social projects implemented in the regional center are such facilities as the shopping and sports center on Builders Avenue, the "Materik" store, the reconstruction of Gagarin Street, the republican center for medical rehabilitation of internationalist soldiers on Frunze Avenue, etc.
In the Orsha district, industrial production indicators are above the regional average. Almost 31 thousand square meters of housing have been built, including 218 apartments for large families. Large-scale construction is underway in animal husbandry. A livestock farm for two thousand heads has started operating near the village of Churilovo. The construction of a slaughter and processing shop for pigs and cattle at the Orsha Meat Canning Plant is nearing completion. A breeder for 5 thousand sows with a feed mill is being built near the village of Goryany, among other projects.
The Polotsk district is developing successfully thanks to industrial giants such as JSC "Polotsk-Steklovolokno", Polotsk Dairy Plant, LLC "POLSKO-Klass", and others, where investment projects for technical modernization and re-equipment are being implemented.
The current year also promises to be eventful. The implementation of projects for the creation of wood processing plants (LLC "VGM WoodArt", "Akitama"), the construction of a digitized plant for the production of innovative veterinary drugs by LLC "Belkarolin", the modernization of installations at JSC "Naftan", the construction of new workshops and farms at Vitebsk Broiler Poultry Factory, the development and implementation of innovative technologies in footwear production by JV "Belvest" LLC, and the modernization of the Orsha Flax Combine continue.
Among the industrial enterprises included in the Vitebsk Region Honor Board are OJSC "Dolomit", "Polotsk-Steklovolokno", LLC "KimaBel", "Yuzhen", ChUP "Polimerkonstruktsiya", SOOO "Manuli Hydraulics Manufacturing Bel". Among agricultural organizations, this honor has been awarded to OJSC "Vitebskaya Broiler Poultry Farm", "Khotily-Agro". In construction, it's OJSC "Vitebsktorghstroy", the institute "Vitebskgrazhdanproekt". In trade and telecommunications – OJSC "Vesta", Vitebsk branch of RUP "Beltelecom". In education – Secondary School No. 12 of Vitebsk. In healthcare, sports, and culture – Novopolotsk Central City Hospital, Vitebsk Specialized Children and Youth Sports School of the Olympic Reserve No. 1, V. Lenin Regional Library. In the service sector – OJSC "Mir Uslug Plus".
Seventeen winners of the competition have been identified among the city's enterprises and organizations. The Vitebsk City Honor Board includes, among others, the Oktyabrsky District.
