Vitebsk discussed the allocation of funds additionally received into the regional budget
– Current issues aimed at improving the balance of the regional budget are submitted for the deputies' discussion. The real sector of the economy allows us to increase its revenue part by more than 30 million rubles. These funds will be directed to the needs of various spheres: housing and communal services, public transport, education, healthcare, and project implementation. Successful budget filling also allows for the expansion of the investment program and support for the agro-industrial complex. Agricultural enterprises are still actively working – harvesting corn, sowing winter crops, and laying the foundation for next year's harvest, – noted Dmitry Demidov.
The head of the deputy corps also paid attention to civil initiatives, the implementation of which requires a number of technical decisions. It is important that the allocated funds are utilized. This year, they amounted to 300 thousand rubles, and more is planned to be allocated next year. Dmitry Demidov advised citizens and public associations to initiate their proposals already. The earlier they are formed and the better they are worked out, the greater the chances of receiving subsidies next year.
The head of the main financial department of the regional executive committee, Evgeny Korostik, named the main sources due to which budget revenues increased. These are income tax, which is growing due to salary increases, profit tax, which indicates profitable work of enterprises, and value-added tax.
– First of all, additional funds will be directed to subsidizing agricultural producers, land reclamation work, compensation of interest in banks, and other expenses in the agro-industrial complex, housing and communal services, and the transport sector, – explained Yevgeny Korostik.
Deputies also voted to allocate additional funds for the reconstruction of the Museum of People's Glory in Rossony, the repair of educational and healthcare institutions, and for other needs of settlements.
Before the start of the session, which took place on the eve of Teacher's Day, Dmitry Demidov congratulated the teachers who are members of the deputy corps and presented honorary diplomas to representatives of education and the public association "Belaya Rus". Among those awarded were the rector of the regional institute for the development of education Olga Lapatinskaya and the methodologist, chairman of the primary organization of the RPO "Belaya Rus" of the same institution, Yury Shchuko.
