Issues of implementing state youth policy were discussed in Vitebsk
During the opening of the event, Marina Novitskaya, Head of the Main Department for Ideological Work and Youth Affairs of the Regional Executive Committee, noted that this time the board meeting is being held in Vitebsk – the Youth Capital of Belarus – 2022 and coincides with the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the BRSM.

“The Youth Union is a forge of personnel, those people who set the tone in both the youth movement and ideological work,” said Marina Novitskaya. “Today, the agenda includes the implementation of the state youth policy in Beshenkovichi, Vitebsk, Liozno, Tolochin districts and Vitebsk, as well as the fulfillment of business plan indicators for the development of newspaper editorial offices and printing enterprises of the region based on the results of the first half of 2022.”
Viktor Glushin, Deputy Chairman of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee, welcoming the participants of the board meeting, wished them fruitful work, interesting communication, good questions, and concise answers.
Ruslan Vinokurov, Director of the Vitebsk State Industrial College, said that today this institution is one of the largest in the region. He emphasized that starting from this academic year, the Industrial College has enrolled students in the specialty "Production of Biotechnological Products".
– The college's specialization is in the trade and public catering sector, as well as the development of biotechnology, – noted Ruslan Vinokurov. – To create working conditions as close as possible to reality, we established an enterprise for the production and sale of our own products – "Cafe 16". Our graduates, after completing their studies, clearly understand their responsibilities and the profession as a whole. Moreover, they grow professionally. This year, our students won over 60 medals in various competitions. For me, as a leader, it is important that 27 of them were in international professional skills competitions. By the way, we are engaged in early career guidance for children (grades 2-4). The children who come to us have so many positive emotions that it is difficult to describe in words. In addition, we work closely with organizations that order personnel. Today, the college is equipped with modern equipment, so our students are good specialists.
The intensive program of the collegium includes a rally near the obelisk at the site of the mass extermination "5th Regiment, Shalag No. 313".

– Memory is something precious that each of us possesses, – said Marina Novitskaya. – Now everyone can remember their relatives and loved ones who, during the Great Patriotic War, fought for peace on our land, dedicating their strength, health, and lives. The work is not only carried out in the Year of Historical Memory; we know that as long as we do not bury the last soldier, memory will live on. Today, we, peaceful people, citizens of the Republic of Belarus, are proud to have the right to study, work, live, and rejoice in the gazes of our children. May this peaceful sky be above us always.
The memory of all those who fell during the war was honored with a minute of silence. Then, flowers were laid at the obelisk.
On this day, an information plaque with a QR code was solemnly unveiled as part of the republican project "Let's Preserve History."
– Being in this sacred place, we understand how much Belarusian land is soaked with the blood of our grandfathers and great-grandfathers, – said Olga Matsyus, Chairperson of the regional organization of the RPO "Patriots of Belarus." – Today, our duty is to preserve history, to remember everyone. That is precisely why, this spring, the republican public association "Patriots of Belarus," with the support of the Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus, began work on the large-scale project "Let's Preserve History." Its main goal is to preserve historical truth and reach as many hearts as possible. We will place information stands with QR codes near all memorial sites on the territory of Belarus, through which one can listen to an audio recording with the history of the place online and read the details.
